Digital Data in Action
Session attendees will not only learn the importance of digital data notebooks but will create their own digital data notebooks using Google Suite Tools. Presenters will walk attendees through the process of creating their own digital data notebooks and will also provide a ready-to-use template that can be utilized for grades third and higher. Attendees will then learn how a digital data notebook can transform your normal parent-teacher conferences into student-led conferences driven by individual data points. Session attendees will see clips of student-led conferences in action and will have time to reflect on how student digital data notebooks can transform student achievement.

Letting Students Take the Lead With Student Led Conferences
Ownership is one of the biggest keys to student growth and achievement and student led conferences gives students the power to share their data points, glows, and grows with parents or guardians. In this session we will work with participants to help them use digital data to set up student led conferences. Participants will work through a blended learning playlist that allows them to learn about and make digital data notebooks that will fit their own classroom needs, examples of student led conferences, and will walk away with templates that are ready to use to get student led conferences started.

Solving Unfinished Learning = Digital Choice Boards + Differentiation
Participants in this session will be actively engaged from the hook with a quick visual response by sharing how they are feeling about their success differentiating unfinished learning in their classroom from post-pandemic learning. The educators in this session will leave with many options for digital choice boards and have the opportunity to make one that can be shared out on a collaborative platform with all that attend. They can collaborate to create with another participant or work alone, but this will be an opportunity for them to create, collaborate, critically think, and communicate out ways they would use a board or design one on their own.

I Genrefied My Entire Elementary Library for My Diverse Population.
Creating genres for your diverse population using Destiny and your school population data. Participants with devices and ability to access their Destiny account will be able to engage in creating genres for their collections. I will walk through the processes I used to create genres and a number system that makes it easier for elementary students to find the books they are seeking. Having all books shelved together has made it much easier for students to find books they are interested in. It also means struggling readers can find books they can read and more challenging books on the same shelf.

Using Data Notebooks to Empower Our Youngest Learners
This session will introduce using digital data notebooks to provide students a place to incorporate audio and video recording to demonstrate proficiency in a skill or standard, set learning goals, and reflect on their learning. Data notebooks invite students to be active participants an co-producers in their learning by allocating space to organize processes in their learning, visualize the learning progression throughout the school year, and establish and articulate goals they set for their learning. In this session, we will introduce digital data notebooks and their benefits. We will provide participants time to explore pre-made data notebooks for literacy in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade in multiple platforms and learn how to create one of their own. bit.ly/EmpowerK2
