The session will act as a guided workshop through a new framework designed to practically inventory current technology at the school level, assess small needs, planning, and provide minimal additions in hardware (minimal spending) that will prepare a shared space, such as a media center, for student engagement. The presentation will engage the audience through polls, discussion, planning, and practical ideas to foster engagement with learners in a transformed space on a budget. The presentation will provide opportuntites to have others discuss/share solutions to using outdated technology for modern purposes and ideas to improve the use of "old" technology for meaningful learning in a shared space.
