Feedback form is now closed.
In an effort to help identify and support critical needs surrounding the various virtual learning environments, the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at NC State University and NC Virtual Public School have partnered to develop and implement a Virtual Schools Network (VSN) focused on connecting local virtual public schools. In this highly-collaborative session, teachers and administrators will have an opportunity to discuss barriers, challenges, and successes shared among virtual academies across North Carolina. As a result of this session, participants will develop a shared understanding of the virtual landscape in North Carolina, as well as discuss emerging best practices for virtual academies. These best practices will be aligned to the K-12 virtual learning framework focusing on learners, teacher and support staff, curriculum and services, technology and connectivity, parent and community, and organization. School Reform Initiative (SRI) protocols will be used to ensure group collaboration, reflection, and equity of voice.
