I truly believe one way to help transform classrooms, is to model by delivery of information in engaging ways that they can easily take back to their learning environments. We want leaders to know what to look for in classrooms to know that they are actively growing in the ISTE standards for students. It used to be that the usage of technology seemed to be enough, we now know that quality outweighs quantity. We also know that just because chromebooks and ipads are on, that doesn’t necessarily lend to great learning experiences. This session will host a variety of engagement tools and strategies such as: a virtual field trip to active classrooms, games to explore research on effect sizes of teaching practices, resources to utilize in every school to shift thinking, networking opportunities, and discussions to explore what is necessary to activate school based dtl teams to grow classrooms. Leaders will walk away from this session with a new perspective on what good blended learning looks like as well as tools to move their schools forward to more innovative spaces for teachers and students.
