Class Visits: A PD Model for Teachers Growing Teachers

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Session attendees will participate in a Class Visit as well as learn about ways to get teachers to reflect asynchronously and effectively learn from each other in an asynchronous setting. In addition to participating in a class visit, attendees will also engage in a "Notice/Wonder", a "Connect, Extend, Challenge", and a "NEWS" strategy to interact with the content provided. This model has many digital components because it is PD that does not require teachers to be in person, but it is a very targeted way to not only let them learn from the things that are going on in each other's classrooms but also build capacity with teacher leaders. This model also provides a way for teachers to reflect both individually and collaboratively. Additionally, the structure of the hyperdoc PD will be shared and laid out so that participants will gain an understanding of how to implement/share this PD with their staff. This session has had positive feedback at other edtech conferences including ISTE. You can check out the reflections from the session here or Learn more here.
