In this session, I will go over 3 Google Tools - Google Earth Projects, GeoGuessr, and Google Cardboard. In doing so, I seek to show participants various ways to infuse maps into their curriculum to make places they talk about come alive for students. Participants will be actively involved by playing a round of GeoGuessr live, and we will explore places in South America using google Earth. Along the way, I will demo applications and share resources with participants on how they could incorporate these programs into their lessons. I will also give participants the chance to explore places using Google Cardboard in VR. This will allow participants to explore further ideas for how maps can be used in their curriculum. I will also encourage participation through mentimeter polls, discussions, and demoing the programs live.
