The way that we reinforce instructional content can be reimagined using a more interactive, hands-on, and minds-on approach. In this session, I intend to open up the realm of several innovative ideas for reinforcing content. Appealing to our students need for fun and engagement, I have successfully incorporated several reinforcements into my day-to-day classroom practice which elicit a desire and enthusiasm to learn. One such practice is using pixel art mystery images created with Google Sheets as a self-checking, creative method for instantaneous student feedback. Another such practice is using Pear Deck integration for Google Slides as an interface for whole-class discussion and checks for understanding of content. One more such practice is using both digital and hard copy interactive notebooks for practice, collaborative tasks, various forms of notetaking, graphic organizers, and so much more! Join me as we take the next steps to reimagining reinforcers!
