Give your teachers and students voice and choice! This session will outline how the technology facilitator and media coordinator collaborate to build insight on podcasting as a tool for teachers and students to gain knowledge on various topics of interest and find a sense of audience as they create their own.
The session will be broken into 4 parts:
1. Educational Podcast for YOU (the educator)
2. Types of Podcast with Students as the Audience including using “The Walking Classroom” to promote podcasting and movement
3. Using “Anchor” to create a student led podcast
4. Collaboration between classroom teachers and Media Coordinator/Technology Facilitator to guide students through the creation process
Examples of podcasts created by primary aged students will be highlighted along with templates used by students to plan and publish their own podcast.
