Expowering Our Youngest Scholars to Create

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Would you like to find “better” ways to empower our youngest scholars to create using technology? If so, this session is perfect for you!. First, discover easy ways to promote student agency using tech tools by explicitly teaching students icons and giving them tools they need to navigate a digital world. Next, learn about Debbie's 3 Cs of Creation- Choice, Collaborative and Clickable and see how selected tech tools offer the 3 Cs to our littles.

During this session, participants will be given multiple opportunities to interact including:

Chalk Talk: Participants will use Jamboard to share what words come to mind when they think about creating with littles.

Headlines: Participants will each add a headline to reflect after the Promoting Student Agency section.

Exploration of Tech Tools with an interactive Padlet

Connect, Extend, Challenge: After finishing their exploration of one tech tool, participants will get an opportunity to reflect on the tech tool that they just explored sharing how the tech tool they explored CONNECTs, EXTENDs to their thinking and what still CHALLENGES them about the tech tool.

Take Note: To reflect over the content of the entire session, participants will reflect and share one or more of the following based on today's session including what is the most important point? ,what are you finding challenging, puzzling, or difficult to understand?, What question would you most like to discuss? and what is something that you found interesting?
