This session will focus on modeling a Student Organized Learning Environment, or SOLE. A SOLE is a collaborative, student-centered strategy that fosters inquiry-based learning and empowers students through voice and choice. Participants will engage in a SOLE lesson with other session members, by being tasked with an UnGoogleable question to research and present. Participants will present their findings by selecting from a digital choice board that is centered around various strategies supported by ed tech tools. They will share their findings and engage in discourse and reflection on the lesson and how they can implement it in their classroom. Participants will leave with a SOLE lesson, choice board and rubric template to take back and use. The big question for the SOLE lesson will tie back to the title of the session.
