Educators, Start Your Engines! Using Indi to Build Momentum for Computer Science

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Participants will learn how Catawba County Schools utilized grant funding to purchase Indi robots for the district. These small car robots use an on-board color sensor to teach young learners programming skills with both plugged and unplugged activities. They encourage open-ended, imaginative play-based learning with real-life scenarios as learners build custom mazes, solve puzzles, and drive! Our presentation will showcase projects taught at the elementary level that support ALL curriculum areas as well as the new Computer Science curriculum. Participants will obtain hands-on experience with these easy-to-use robots as they “race” around the room completing various challenges. This session will be perfect for ANY educator, with no prior experience necessary. Complete lesson plans will be shared as well as fun giveaways.
