The session will focus on ways teachers can use cellphones effectively to promote student engagement and advance learning.
Attendees will be led through a session that mirrors the ways that phones can be integrated into instruction. When attendees arrive, a QR code and a bit.ly will be on the screen to take attendance instead of a sign-in sheet.
Next, attendees will be walked through several programs and websites where cellphones can be used to advance student learning across the curriculum including: Google Forms, Poll Everywhere, Padlet, Linoit, Flipgrid, Read Theory, CommonLit, No Red Ink, NewsELA, Quizziz, and Kahoot.
Finally, attendees will provide feedback on their experiences using one of the tools they learned about during the session.
