So you’ve got the basics of teaching with Canvas down. You can create assignments, pages and quizzes and perhaps even have a snazzy homepage. But now you are looking to take your Canvas courses to the next level. This session will introduce some of the features of Canvas that are a step above what would be considered beginner to propel student learning to the next level.

We will demonstrate how to use:

- Student annotations, allowing students to easily work with PDFs within Canvas

- Embedding tabs within a page. Cut and paste some basic code to add some wow factor as well as multiple layers of content to a single page

- Student outcomes so that you can track mastery across learning standards

- Rubrics and student comment banks to easily provide high quality feedback to students

Participants will join a public Canvas course and participate from a student point of view to see these features in action. They will also receive step-by-step instructions on how to implement them in their own Canvas courses.
