Breakout of the Old Mold!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Breakout of the old mold of teaching! In this session, you will learn how to design and implement digital breakouts using Google Apps (Google Forms, Google Docs, Google Slides, etc). You will have a hands-on learning experience on how to create and design your own digital breakout experience. Although not as physical as escape rooms, it brings game-based learning into the classroom that challenges students with rigorous content. Research has shown that gamification elements make learning more enjoyable for students while still providing them with skills such as creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication. By the end of this session, participants will leave with templates, ideas, organizers and the skills needed to create a digital breakout and to challenge your students with. All attending will need access to a laptop/Chromebook and have a registered Google account. This session is targeted at K-12 classroom teachers who have prior experience with Google Suite Apps.
