The Science of Blended Learning

Feedback form is now closed.
Since 2019, two significant events have occurred in NC education: the Science of Reading initiative and the need to enhance Blended Learning! Before the pandemic, my district was not 1:1. Fortunately, one great thing that occurred because of Covid was the funding to give us the ability to integrate technology 1:1. But now what? How can teachers effectively integrate technology and blended learning alongside the SoR initative? This session has take-away SoR blended learning activities however, the content can be switched out for any subject matter!

In this session, you will learn about the four main types of blended learning models and how to best implement them into your literacy instruction. You will receive the content for this session by becoming an active participant in none other than a Rotation Model yourself as you move across stations to acquire resources for SoR activities and exemplars with integrated blended learning instruction for various grade spans. Participants will leave with digital access to the presentation, exemplars, and blank blended learning templates and standard-aligned activities to utilize in their own planning. Participants will be actively engaged by participating in a Station Rotation format for receiving the content for each grade span.
