Level Up Instruction: Using the Psychology of Video Games in the Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Join us as players in a game-inspired interactive session where you will experience the video game model of learning to level up your classroom instruction.
Video and computer games compel their users as they offer relevant goals, specific challenges, and immediate feedback. In this session, we will foster active learning by immersing participants into the video game model itself. Participants will complete a series of team-based challenges that include opportunities to investigate the video game model, explore strategies for implementation and engage in application reflections.
All materials and templates as well as a quick overview of the pedagogy and design intentionality behind this experience will be provided in the conclusion so that participants may bring this method back to your classroom, school, or district! Our session is rated E for Everyone!
