In this hands-on briefing, “audience agents” will experience the variety of resources offered by both the Google Arts and Culture (GA&C) website and app as an avenue for integrating art and introducing innovative digital learning environments. Agents that already have VR viewers or other devices will learn practical ways to use those resources with GA&C for VR tours. GA&C engages learners with art of all kinds: music, paintings, sculpture, 3D objects, simulations, and more. Through guided discovery, agents will be challenged to think critically about incorporating arts concepts into their curriculum and daily missions. The facilitators will provide an overview of GA&C and share the SEL and academic benefits of arts integration across disciplines. They will also provide specific examples of cross-curricular lesson ideas for a variety of content areas that utilize GA&C features. There will also be time for questions, exploration, and brainstorming.

Learning Objectives:
(ISTE for Educators 2.5a) Participants will explore features of GA&C that allow for personalized learning experiences for students
(ISTE for Educators 2.5.b) Participants will brainstorm ways to design authentic learning activities that align with content area standards and use GA&C to maximize active, deep learning.
(ISTE for Educators 2.5 c) Participants will explore features of GA&C and discuss how to design instructional experiences that integrate VR or AR features to engage and support student learning.
