Supporting Multilingual Learners with Blended Learning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
In this session, participants will learn how to implement blended learning instruction using the flex model to support mobile, migratory students, and multilingual learners (MLs). Participants will receive a brief overview of the (4) NC Blended Instructional Models and discuss ways blended learning can support these special populations. Participants will be guided through a playlist and experience instruction via whole group, small group, and independent work. The blended learning instructional models support classroom instruction, programming, tutoring, and co-teaching. This session is excellent for ML (EL) teachers and core teachers who work with large populations of multilingual and migratory students. This session is designed for beginning-intermediate knowledge of blended learning. With blended learning instruction, every child receives whatever they need to develop their academic potential and thrive. Digital resources and templates will be provided to support teachers. Please bring an electronic device to this session to participate in the flex model.
