Feedback form is now closed.
Learners with executive function challenges often struggle with organization, time management, studying effectively, researching and synthesizing information, and taking effective notes. These are crucial skills for academic success and when difficulties arise in these areas, it can greatly impact academic success. Unfortunately, the number of students with executive function deficits is on the rise, and they are often associated with Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or Attentional Disorders. While today's middle and high school students may possess a certain level of technological proficiency, it does not necessarily follow they know how to use technology resources to enhance their learning. They may know how to access certain apps, but lack the understanding of how to leverage technology to support their education. Are we, as educators, contributing to this problem? Are we failing in our mission to fully educate our students? This session will focus on the importance of providing explicit strategy instruction and utilizing technology to compensate for skill deficits. The result will be students who are confident, equipped, and empowered to succeed. Join us to learn how to help all learners thrive as they overcome executive function challenges
