Heath Belcher is the Associate Superintendent for Lincoln County Schools. Before serving in this position, he was Chief of Human Resources with the district. He also has served as the principal at Lincolnton High School, Norris S. Childers Elementary, and an Assistant Principal at West Lincoln Middle School. Prior to becoming an administrator he taught middle school science, math, and social studies. Originally from West Virginia, he completed his undergraduate studies at Concord University. After moving to North Carolina to be a teacher, he completed his Masters of School Administration and Ed. S. at Appalachian State University. Heath then went on to obtain his Ed. D. at Western Carolina University. Heath was recognized as Lincoln County Teacher of the Year in 2006, Lincoln County Principal of the Year in 2012 and 2014.
